Terms of Service
Last updated 3 November 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Manultas ("we", "us") and govern your use of manultas.com, our web application, API, alerts, reports and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you use the Services for an organisation, you accept these Terms for it and confirm you may do so. A signed order form or enterprise agreement prevails over these Terms where they conflict.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You may not use the Services if you are located in, or a resident or national of, a country or region under comprehensive sanctions, or if you are named on, or owned or controlled by someone named on, a sanctions list maintained by the United Nations, the United States, the European Union or the United Kingdom.
3. Accounts
Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password, wallet and API keys secret: you are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for one person and may not be shared unless your plan allows seats. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. Plans and payment
- Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Fees are non-refundable except where the law or these Terms say otherwise.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes, which apply from your next renewal.
- Prices exclude taxes, which you pay unless you give us a valid exemption.
- Raise any billing dispute within 60 days of the charge. We may suspend paid features if a payment fails.
5. Our data and its limits
The Services show transactions recorded on public blockchains, the paths funds take across addresses, chains, bridges and swaps, and labels we add from public evidence. You acknowledge that:
- labels, links between addresses, amounts, prices and other outputs are analytical estimates. They can be incomplete, delayed or wrong, and blockchain data itself can be reorganised or misreported;
- an address appearing on a map, or near a labelled address, does not mean its owner did anything wrong;
- you are responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them, in particular before freezing assets, reporting to authorities, or making allegations about anyone;
- the Services are not financial, investment, legal, tax or compliance advice, and Manultas is not a broker, exchange, custodian or adviser.
6. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not help others to:
- use the Services in breach of any law, including sanctions, anti-money-laundering, data protection and privacy laws;
- harass, threaten, stalk, extort or dox anyone, or use the Services to identify a person in order to harm them;
- publish allegations about identifiable people based on outputs you have not verified;
- use the Services to launder funds, evade sanctions, or avoid detection by authorities;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Services, or access them by automated means other than our API;
- get around rate limits, access controls, geographic restrictions or plan limits, including by using several accounts;
- probe, scan or test the security of the Services, or upload malicious code, except through a disclosure programme we approve;
- copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the Services, or use them to build a competing product or dataset;
- use outputs to train or fine-tune machine learning models, except as your plan or a written agreement allows;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Services to third parties as a service.
Report security issues to [email protected].
7. API and automated access
The API is available on plans that include it, within the rate limits and quotas shown in your plan. API keys are personal to your account. We may change, limit or retire API endpoints, giving reasonable notice of material changes where we can.
8. Licence and your exports
Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your own or your organisation's internal purposes. Manultas owns the Services, including the software, design, labels, attributions, maps and the "Manultas" name and logo; except for this licence, these Terms transfer no rights to you.
You may include screenshots, videos and exports of maps in your own investigations, reports, filings, articles and social media posts, provided you credit "Manultas" and do not redistribute our data in bulk or present it as your own dataset.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the addresses, labels, notes and other content you add ("Your Content"). It is private to your account unless you choose to share it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display Your Content only to provide and secure the Services for you. You are responsible for having the right to upload Your Content. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
10. Third-party services
The Services may link to or rely on third-party websites, blockchains, wallets and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access, with notice where reasonable, if you breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or if your use creates risk for Manultas, our users or others. If we end a paid plan without cause, we will refund the unused part of the fees. Sections 5, 8 (ownership), 12, 13 and 15 survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Beta and preview features may change or be withdrawn at any time.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting proceedings, the parties will try in good faith for 30 days to resolve a dispute by contacting each other in writing. Disputes that are not resolved will be decided exclusively by the courts of the British Virgin Islands. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give account holders at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Services. If you keep using the Services after the changes take effect, you accept them; if you do not agree, you may close your account before then.
15. General
These Terms, together with the policies they refer to, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
